THE AREAS WITH THE FASTEST GROWTH ARE SHADED IN RED.

I'M GOING TO WALK RIGHT THROUGH THIS BECAUSE IT CAN GET A LITTLE BIT CONFUSING, BUT I'M GOING TO GO THROUGH EACH OF THE LINES, PLUS I JUST ENJOY DOING IT BECAUSE.

WE HAVE A COMMITTED FUND BALANCE OF TWO MILLION, ONE MILLION IS LAND, AND ONE MILLION IS IF WE HAVE A PROPERTY CATASTROPHE IN THE DISTRICT, WE DO HAVE $1 MILLION DEDUCTIBLE IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN.
WE HAVE THAT IN FUND BALANCE IN CASE THAT WERE TO HAPPEN.
THEN WE HAVE OUR ENCUMBRANCES OF 1.2 MILLION MOVED ROLLED FOR THIS YEAR WITH AN ENDING UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE OF 23 POINT ALMOST $7 MILLION.
THE OPTIMUM FUND BALANCE IS THREE MONTHS OF OPERATING, WHICH IS 18.4 MILLION.
WE HAVE 5.3 OVER THAT, WHICH SEEMS LIKE A LOT MORE, BUT IT'S ONLY 3.9 MONTHS SO IT'S JUST A LITTLE AT NINE MONTHS MORE.

WE ARE 14 STUDENTS LESS THAN WE HAD AT THE LAST UPDATE, ALTHOUGH I RAN TODAY AND WE HAVE EIGHT.
WE'RE 78 STUDENTS LESS THAN OUR PROJECTION.
AGAIN, THAT'S OF LAST FRIDAY AND WE GREW BY EIGHT TODAY, WHICH IS GREAT.
THAT'S ONE OF THE HIGHEST GROWTH DATES WE'VE HAD IN QUITE A WHILE.
OUR ATTENDANCE REMAINS TO BE SLIGHTLY ABOVE PROJECTION, BUT AS THE YEAR PROGRESSES, THIS COULD CHANGE A LITTLE BIT.
HOPEFULLY NOT. I THINK THAT HOPEFULLY WE CAN MAINTAIN THIS.
BUT RIGHT NOW, EVEN THOUGH WE MIGHT BE 78 BEHIND OUR PROJECTION, WE'RE 31 STUDENTS BEHIND OUR ADA PROJECTION, WHICH IS OUR AVERAGE DAILY ATTENDANCE.
HOW THAT IMPACTS REVENUE IS THAT WE DO HAVE A REVENUE IMPACT OF AROUND 230,000.
WITH THAT DECLINE, WE ARE SEEING THAT A BIT BOTH IN TWO THINGS, THE ATTENDANCE DECLINING A LITTLE BIT AND THE ENROLLMENT DECLINING A LITTLE BIT.
HOWEVER, AS ENROLLMENT GOES BACK UP, WHEN WE GET OUR EIGHT STUDENTS TODAY, WE WILL SEE A CHANGE IN ADA.
WHAT I REALLY FEEL IS GOING TO BE MORE TELLING IS IN OUR JANUARY BOARD MEETING, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE THREE WEEKS OF COMING BACK IN THE SECOND SEMESTER AND REALLY SEEING WHAT THE MOVEMENT OVER THE CHRISTMAS BREAK DID AND WHAT THIS GROWTH IS GOING TO SHOW US IN THE SECOND SEMESTER.
TWO YEARS AGO, WE DID HAVE A SECOND SEMESTER WHERE WE GREW EVERY SINGLE DAY THROUGH THE MONTH OF APRIL ALL THE WAY UP TO ALMOST THE END OF SCHOOL YEAR.
IT IS LIKELY WITH ALL OF THE CONSTRUCTION THAT WE HAVE GOING ON IN THE BORTARD LOOP ZONE THAT WE WILL SEE THAT AGAIN IN THE SPRING.
COME JANUARY, WE'LL BE ABLE TO REALLY SEE THIS IS A CURRENT NET IMPACT TO REVENUES.
IT'S NOT ANYTHING WE CAN REALLY LOCK IN.
IT'S JUST SOMETHING THAT AS WE'RE WATCHING ATTENDANCE AND WE'RE WATCHING ENROLLMENT.
ON THE EXPENDITURE, LION CARE IS STILL CLOSING OUT THOSE LAST FEW MONTHS AGAIN IN JANUARY, WE'LL BE ABLE TO HAVE ALL OF OUR STOP LOSS CLOSE OUT AND EVERYTHING LIKE THAT FOR YOU, SO WE CAN SEE HOW THAT YEAR IS SHAPED UP.
WE DO HAVE SOME VACANCIES THAT CAUSE SOME SAVINGS ON THE EXPENDITURE SIDE.
THEN WE DO HAVE SOME NEW POSITIONS THAT WE'RE ADDING TO THE BUDGET SINCE WE ADOPTED OUR BUDGET IN JUNE.
THAT BRINGS A NET IMPACT OF EXPENDITURES AND THEN THAT NET BETWEEN THE REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES IS 308,000.
HOWEVER, AGAIN, IT IS A NUMBER THAT SOUNDS REALLY LARGE AND IT IS REALLY LARGE.
IT IS DEFINITELY NOT SOMETHING TO NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT.
HOWEVER, IN A $73 MILLION BUDGET, IT'S DOING WELL.

WHEN WE RECEIVED THOSE RATINGS, WE FELT THAT WE HAD SOME CAUSE TO SUBMIT AN APPEAL TO TEA REGARDING SOME OF OUR CCMR DATA, WHICH WE DID SUBMIT THAT APPEAL, AND JUST THIS PAST WEEK, TEA GAVE US NOTICE THAT THEY HAVE GRANTED THAT APPEAL, WHICH WILL RESULT IN OUR FINAL RATINGS BEING CHANGED.
IF YOU LOOK AT THIS SLIDE, YOU CAN SEE THAT BASED OFF OF THIS APPEAL, LOCKHART ISD'S PRELIMINARY RATING WAS A 69.
HOWEVER, THE FINAL RATING WILL NOW BE 73.
LOCKHART HIGH SCHOOL, THE PRELIMINARY RATING WAS A 70 AND THAT WILL NOW BE MOVED UP TO A 76.

BUT I REALLY WANT TO POINT OUT THE FACT THAT OUR FLOAT IN THE PARADE ONE TROPHY, DIDN'T IT?
