WHAT THERE'S 2 THINGS THAT HAPPEN. ONE THE PAY SCALE IS ADJUSTED AND MOVED TO ADJUST FOR A NEW STARTING PAY. THAT WOULD BE COMPARABLE FOR THE MARKET IN CASE WE WERE HIRING ANY NEW HIRES. THEN THE SECOND THING THAT HAPPENS IS THAT ONCE THAT PAY SCALE IS MOVED OVER, THEN THAT GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE RETAINED, EMPLOYEES THAT ARE COMING BACK FOR 2627 WOULD RECEIVE A GENERAL PAY INCREASE BASED ON THE NEW MIDPOINT OF THEIR NEW 2627 PAY GRADE. SO OPTION ONE IS A 2% GENERAL PAY INCREASE FOR $210,000. AND THEN OPTION TWO, A 3% GENERAL PAY INCREASE FOR $314,000 ALMOST 315. MUCH LIKE THE ADMIN PAY SCALE IS THE CLERICAL PARAPROFESSIONAL PAY SCALE. AGAIN INCREASING STARTING PAY. IF WE HAVE NEW EMPLOYEES COME IN AND THEN HAVING EITHER A 3 OR 4% INCREASE ON THE MIDPOINT. THE DIFFERENCES HERE IS THESE ARE HOURLY RATES FOR STARTING PAY FOR HOURLY EMPLOYEES. OPTION 1 FOR 3% GPI IS 200 ALMOST $ 207,000. AND OPTION 2 WOULD BE A 4% GPI FOR $275,000. THE AUXILIARY PAY SCALE IS MUCH LIKE THE PREVIOUS PAY SCALE. WE MOVE THE PAY SCALES OVER, ADJUST THE STARTING PAY, AND THEN WE GIVE A EITHER 3 OR 4% GPI FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS RETAINED WITHIN THE DISTRICT COMING BACK 2627. OPTION 1 FOR THIS PAY SCALE IS $66,840, AND OPTION TWO IS $89,239. [00:40:04] SO THE TOTAL COST OF OUR PAY SCALES FOR OPTION 1 IS JUST UNDER $1 MILLION, AT 900 AND ALMOST $81,000. AGAIN, THIS IS A TEACHER RAISE UP TO 0.6 PERCENT, AN ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL RAISE OF 2%, CLERICAL PARAPROFESSIONAL RAISE OF 3% AND AN AUXILIARY RAISE OF 3%. OPTION 2 IS JUST OVER 1.4 MILLION, WITH A TEACHER RAISE UP TO 6.7%. 3% FOR ADMIN AND 4% FOR CLERICAL, PARAPROFESSIONAL AND AUXILIARY STAFF. THE STIPEND CHANGES THAT WE HAVE ARE A NEW HIGH PRIORITY CAMPUS STIPEND AT ABS OF $1,500. THIS IS FOR ALL CERTIFIED TEACHERS WITH A BILINGUAL CERTIFICATION OR AN ESL CERTIFICATION THAT ARE GOING TO BE TEACHING FOR THE 26-27 YEAR AT ABS. AND THIS IS GOING TO BE FUNDED THROUGH TITLE FUNDS, TITLE ONE, SPECIFICALLY IN OUR PAY PLAN FROM TASB, THERE WAS A RECOMMENDATION TO INCREASE THE HIGH NEED SPECIAL STIPEND BY $1,000. SO THE 25-26 STIPEND IS $3,000, AND THE NEW 26-27 STIPEND WOULD BE $4,000. WE DO HAVE 19 TEACHERS THAT ARE IN THESE HIGH NEED SPECIAL ED POSITIONS. WE ALSO ARE PROPOSING TO INCREASE THE CHEER COACH STIPEND TO ALIGN WITH THE ATHLETIC STIPENDS. HEAD HIGH SCHOOL CHEER COACH CURRENTLY IS $5,000 AND THE NEW AMOUNT WOULD BE $7000. THE HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT CHEER COACH IS $3000 CURRENTLY AND WOULD BE INCREASED TO $4000. AND THEN WE WOULD HAVE A NEW JUNIOR HIGH ASSISTANT CHEER COACH FOR 1000. ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE MADE A MOVE TO MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO THE FINE ARTS STIPENDS, WHICH HAVE NOT DONE IN YEARS, AND WE KIND OF HAVE AN ANNUAL GOAL OF OF TACKLING CERTAIN AREAS OF OUR STIPEND LIST. AND THIS YEAR, THESE ARE THE PROPOSALS FOR THE FINE ARTS STIPEND CHANGES FOR 26-27, WITH A TOTAL CHANGE TO STIPENDS OF $11,000. I DON'T WANT TO SPEED THROUGH IT. IT ALSO INCLUDES A PAYMENT TOWARDS HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS FOR ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES. SO IN 25-26, THE SCHOOL DISTRICT WAS A MONTHLY CONTRIBUTING TO PREMIUMS OF $427. THE PROPOSAL IS THAT THE DISTRICT WOULD INCREASE THAT PREMIUM CONTRIBUTION BY $46 A MONTH, WHICH WOULD BE $552 PER YEAR. SO WHEN WE TALK ABOUT A RAISED PACKAGE FOR THE YEAR, WE'RE LOOKING AT, IF WE'RE LOOKING AT A $675 RAISE. ALSO ON TOP OF THAT WOULD BE $552 INCREASE TO PREMIUM FOR THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE FOR THE YEAR. IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE RAISE PACKAGE AS A WHOLE. IF YOU ARE ON EMPLOYEE ONLY INSURANCE, YOUR MONTHLY PREMIUM WILL GO UP BY $10 AS OPPOSED TO GOING UP BY $56. IF WE WERE NOT INCREASING THE DISTRICT CONTRIBUTION BY $46 A MONTH. SO WITH THAT BEING SAID, WITH THAT TYPE OF PACKAGE, 3 TO 10% OF THE TOTAL RAISE PACKAGE WOULD GO TOWARDS AN INCREASE IN EMPLOYEE ONLY PREMIUMS, BECAUSE WE DO HAVE AN INCREASE IN THAT EMPLOYEE ONLY PREMIUM FOR LION CARE, WHICH WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT AT THE AT THE PREVIOUS MEETINGS BEFORE THIS AS FAR AS HEALTH INSURANCE GOES. AND WHAT WE'RE SEEING IS THAT ALL HEALTH INSURANCE IS GOING UP ACROSS THE BOARD. TRS ANNOUNCED THAT THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE A 10% INCREASE. AND FOR THE DISTRICTS THAT I KNOW THAT ARE ON 10 ON TRS, IF THEY HAVE A 10% INCREASE IN PREMIUMS, THAT'S AROUND $50 A MONTH. AND I ALSO AM HEARING THAT MOST OF THESE DISTRICTS ARE UNABLE TO GIVE A RAISE. SO WE ARE THANKFUL TO BE ABLE TO PROPOSE AN INCREASE SO THAT WE CAN PUT IN $552 MORE A YEAR PER EMPLOYEE FOR THEIR HEALTH INSURANCE. THAT'S WHY I JUST WANT TO HIGHLIGHT SOMETHING THAT THAT YOU SAID, AND MAYBE INTRODUCE IT A DIFFERENT WAY IN THAT FOR AS LONG AS I'VE BEEN IN PUBLIC EDUCATION, SOMETHING THAT WHEN I WAS A TEACHER, OTHER TEACHERS WE TALKED ABOUT AND EVERY YEAR SINCE [00:45:01] IS THAT PEOPLE WOULD MAKE COMMENTS THAT, WELL, MY INSURANCE WENT UP, SO I DIDN'T GET A RAISE. IT ALL WENT, YOU KNOW, THE INSURANCE COST. SO WE'VE DONE AN ANALYSIS. AND AS MISS WEISER SAID, YOU KNOW, 3 TO 3 TO 10%. SO I LIKE TO THINK OF IT AS THE RAISE THAT THEY'RE RECEIVING THERE. THEY ARE RETAINING 90 TO 97% OF THAT OF THAT RAISE THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR EMPLOYEES. SO THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT WE WANTED TO ENSURE THAT HAPPENED.
